    Welcome Lynda!

Thanks for sharing your story – you’re definitely not alone!

Your issues do sound quite common but it’s tricky to know where to start without being able to chat one-on-one. Some weight regain is normal from the lowest point, and it might be worth checking in to see if your goal is realistic. Sometimes I find that in focusing on your helath and sorting out those medical issues, the weight will settle where your body is comfortable and not be so much of an issue.

Have you seen your surgeon re: the hernia or dietitian re BSLs? If there is something to be done medically, then I would start there because it sounds like you are doing well with your activity!

Let us know how you go. I’ve also just emailed you re: joining the Facebook group if you would like to – there is much more chat over there 🙂

    Hi Sarah,

As we discussed on the Live Q&A, kidney stones are not very common after a sleeve, but gallstones can be. Gallstones are common with weight loss in general, in particular with the kind of weight loss that comes after a sleeve. There isn’t too much you can do to minimise your risk unfortunately. For kidney stones, staying hydrated is the major thing. If you’re worried, have a chat with your surgeon and just keep an eye out for any abnormal abdominal pain (usually a couple of months after surgery at least).

    Hope this helps!

This time is really difficult and it can take a while to get used to your new stomach. Some people take up to six months or more to really get the hang of it.

My best advice is to just keep focusing on your eating habits. Have a read of this post as it should help – you’ll get better as time goes by.
